Visual Inquiry into Affective Dynamics[EN]
The photographic sequence aims to be the beginning of a series of portraits on the theme of relationships.
How do we relate to the person with whom we share intimacy? And what is intimacy exactly—what does it stem from, and which places do we perceive as safe?
Another theme of the series is the exploration of self-representation: how do we relate together in front of a camera? What poses do we adopt to recreate a moment of happiness and intimacy? What decisions are made in glances and gestures—do we look into the lens, or do we seek the gaze of the person beside us?
These photographs search for a pattern, a small demonstration that, despite the diversity of genders and personalities, we are in fact similar—seeking an affection that is embedded within us. Suspended portraits made of gazes, gestures, and interactions with the environments we inhabit, this ongoing series seeks to tell the story of both the strength and the fragility of being a couple today.

Indagine visiva sulle dinamiche affettive, la sequenza fotografica vuole essere l’inizio di una serie di ritratti con tema le relazioni.
Come ci relazioniamo con la persona con cui siamo in intimità? E cosa è l’intimità esattamente, da che cosa è scaturita e quali sono i luoghi che reputiamo sicuri.
Altro tema della serie è indagare l’autorappresentazione; Come ci si relaziona assieme davanti a una macchina fotografica? Quali sono le pose che si attuano per ricreare un momento felice e di intimità? Quali sono le decisioni negli sguardi e nei gesti, si guarda in macchina o si cerca lo sguardo della persona che abbiamo vicino?
Queste fotografie ricercano un pattern, una piccola dimostrazione che nella diversità tra generi e personalità in realtà siamo simili, alla ricerca di un affetto che è intriso in noi; ritratti sospesi fatti di sguardi, gesti e interazioni con l’ambiente che viviamo, questa serie che continuerà nel tempo vuole raccontare la forza e la fragilità dell’essere coppia oggi.
